How do you say it?
Sequoidea is a portmanteau of Sequoia and Idea. We like to pronounce it like this: Se-coy-dee-ah.
What is sequoidea Productions llc?
Sequoidea Productions LLC is a digital and physical media production company, as well as a digital content network, and recording studio.
Sequoidea gets its name from The Sequoia sempervirens (Coast Redwood) trees that dominate The Santa Cruz Mountains of California, where we are based. These trees are the tallest on earth, but begin with some of the smallest seeds of any tree.
Ideas are like metaphorical seeds, that with our help, can grow into the mighty Redwood Trees that they are destined to be!
So, what exactly do you do?
Sequoidea is first and foremost a production house, producing its own content in various mediums for general distribution and consumption. We are currently focused primarily in the Podcast and Video mediums, with a small number of original shows in production, as well as a music/audio recording studio.
Sequoidea has a team of creatives constantly working and developing new ideas, content concepts, and art.
We are well equipped to facilitate every step of a project’s development and implementation, from idea seed- all the way to towering Redwood!
Does Sequoidea only produce original content?
No! Sequoidea Productions LLC is available for hire and contract work on whatever project or idea you may have.

who are you guys?
Sequoidea was founded by four friends (all from The Santa Cruz Mountain region of California) who had a shared interest in being artistically creative; and who wanted to facilitate the further spread of art, music, and entertaining content into the world. They come from a variety of backgrounds and specializations: Artists, academics, musicians, a brewery owner and legal “expert”, an award winning cartoonist, a back-country Muleteer, and more!
We have the combined and shared life experiences and imaginations that are pivotal to the successful creative process.
